First and foremost my photographs are about emotion. My first spark of love for photography came early. Watching my Dad print photographs when I was young  made the connection. I became the observer, and later, recorder of relationships, emotions and reactions of those near me. I expressed those feelings through photography and art. It was evident that photography was my going to play a major role is my life.

 

My interest in photography led me to pursue photography though out school.  I shot rock bands through college to pay the rent. I earned a Fine Arts  degree in photography and sculpting from Univ. of Florida in 1982 . I have been working in photography since then.

 

For the past 25 years my creative passion has established  a rich career in photography and has allowed me to do what I love.  I have worked in many aspects  of the art including being a photographic instructor, portrait studio owner, videographer, staff photographer, photographic gallery owner and  the organizer of 5 Camera Art Festival’s in Santa Rosa. I have been very fortunate in my career to study with many Master Photographers  like Ansel Adams and Jerry Uelsmann.  I appreciate your viewing my artwork.
